Beautiful light ivory (623) 1986 300E. Bone stock car, early gen w124. This car is a federal version (no air injection or egr) and first (technically second) year 300E 3.0 . This car has undergone a mechanical restoration during the last 5 years of ownership and is absolutely ready to drive anywhere or all the time every day. It has a really clean body with only minor dents. Dash is in good shape, no cracks, but the interior has seen some sun. It's a very early w124, so it's charm is that it's a basic reliable sedan and a pleasant color that stands out among the silver and black cars of today. These first year cars were more basic, no door speakers, no express function on the windows or other convenience features, however there are advantages to the simplicity. No EGR, no air injection, no upshift delay, and the check engine light only turns on for power faults to the engine control unit. I will begin to list the parts I've replaced on this car. All the work has been done by a 15 year Mercedes Benz technician (me). Lots of hardware on this car has been replated (zinc chromate gold) during this work but not really enough to be significant. This work has been done over the last 5 years. I did the major overhaul of the suspension last year and have barely driven the car so those parts are all still 100% new. -New mercedes benz genuine catalytic converter as of last year. That alone was serious money. We also made sure the mixture was proper and in closed loop before we installed the new catalyst. -New Bosch o2 sensor -6 new bosch injectors -all new rubber air injection and breather hoses -New water pump -New Hood Pad -New ATF cooler hoses -New MB genuine coolant reservoir -New fan bearing bracket -New belt tensioner shock -New belt tensioner -New behr radiator -New thermostat -Zerex g48 (MB blue) coolant -New cooling system hoses, heater hoses, all genuine benz -new timing chain and rails, oil pump tensioner -All new sensors and switches on engine (coolant temps switches and ecu temp switch) -Distributor -Rotor -Bremi spark plug wires -Denso 5031 NON-resistor plugs (google them and read the reviews) -New Bosch alternator -New denso AC compressor -New txv valve and receiver drier, and switches on drier (yes AC works and does not leak, center vent works as well) -New pads and brake rotors all around.Has had recent brake flush. -New suspension. I mean it, it's new. I did it ALL. Its all lemfoerder OE equiv. - New all 4 links in rear replaced (total of 8). - New rear sway bar links -New rear differential bushings, including pancake bushings -New Rear subframe bushings -All 4 bilstein shocks and steering damper -both rear LCA -both rear knuckle ball joints (nobody ever changes those on these cars) - front entire lower Control arms with welded in ball joint and bushings -New tie rods and center link. -New mercedes genuine ignition tumbler (last one froze up) vin matched to car -New front strut mounts -New bosch starter when I got it 4 years ago -New rubber trunk stops -New rubber hood stops -New Stereo deck with bluetooth. This first year car had very basic 4 speaker stereo. I put a modern deck in it and replaced the stock blown speakers with some good dynamic range JBL. If you had a subwoofer it would sound pretty decent. The suspension overhaul was all done last year and has barely been driven. Those parts are all nearly new still. Added remote central locking. Vacuum locks work great. I added a remote module to the car and wired that to unlock or lock the doors and flash the turn signal lights for confirmation. Car is currently on non-op and I drive it around the block once a month and get it warm. In picture grill is missing a metal slat, I have extras and will replace it before sale. Windshield is cracked. All windows and sunroof work great. Willing to put it on a lift and go over whats been done with a serious buyer.
