This is a nice Mercedes Benz w140 1993 300SD - blue/peanut - 293k miles, factory remanufactured engine and transmission so drivetrain mileage is much lower. I’d drive this car across country tomorrow. No rust, great drivetrain. This was the pinnacle of Mercedes-Benz engineering. No cost was spared to come up with the absolute best vehicle of the age. It has the OM603.971 3.5L turbo diesel engine, which was the highest rated output of the series. It is a strong runner, good boost, performs well. A few observations on the car: - factory remanufactured engine and transmission - starts, runs, shifts beautifully - comfortable, quiet ride - clean and nice interior except for driver seat - no dash cracks - completely rust free - AC works great - working gauges/odometer - new tires and brakes - new glow plugs, intake gaskets, belt. In the interest of being transparent, I will also state the issues that a “tire kicker” might find: - typical w140 clearcoat failure - driver seat is comfortable but bottom is torn - a few dents - signs of surface rust in fuel filler neck (does not affect operation at all, and I installed a supplemental filter to verify and protect) - one channel of Bose amp not working The selling price is decent just for a high quality factory remanufactured 3.5L OM603 (no head issues) and AT. The car is a driver though, so you have options for running it, using it as an engine donor, etc. I love these old diesels, I just have too many at this point, and too many other draws on my time. I will only deal with American citizens that can prove that they are licensed and have their own active car insurance. I will only do a cash transaction in an appropriate location. Car has easy access to the Delaware Memorial Bridge if you’re coming from out of state.
